This Privacy Policy explains how Mataru ("we", "us", "the Bot") handles information when you use our Discord bot and related website.

By using Mataru, you agree to the practices described here. Please also review our Terms of Service.

To provide bot functionality, we may store:

- Server configuration — prefixes, automod settings, antinuke modules, leveling config, welcome/greet settings, logging channels, and similar per-guild preferences - Moderation data — warnings, mutes, bans, hardbans, and related action logs where features are enabled - Usage data — command usage, timestamps, and operational metrics needed to run and improve the Bot - User identifiers — Discord user IDs and guild IDs required to associate settings and actions with the correct account or server

We do not intentionally collect passwords, payment card numbers, or email addresses through the Bot itself.

Message content is not stored permanently unless a specific feature you enable requires short-term processing (for example, automod scans).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiles.

Information is used to:

- Operate commands and server features you configure - Enforce moderation, antinuke, and automod rules - Maintain premium status and server-specific bot customization - Debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve reliability

We may use third-party services for hosting, databases, and analytics. Those providers process data only as needed to operate the Bot. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Discord processes data according to Discord's Privacy Policy.

We retain server and user configuration data for as long as the Bot remains in your server or as needed to provide features. You may request deletion of server data by removing the Bot from your server and contacting support for additional cleanup where applicable.

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Contact us through the support server to submit a request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Mataru is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect stored data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date below indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Bot after changes means you accept the updated policy.
